13th Sonic Rainboom (Video/Action for Route 31 near Violet)

(Rainbow's face clicks on the 'Gear, a forced smile on the former Pegasus pony's face; she holds up her 6 -count 'em, 6- badges while the screen pans back to show a Milotic behind her.)

...So, turns out Twilight was right about not much in Azalea Town to begin with which is why it was a breeze getting through the Gym there and finally getting to face Falkner? He's got some crazy awesome tips when it comes to Flying Pokémon, but he was kinda stuck on Pidgeot, Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor and Unfezant the whole time, which'll help me out a lot when I get around to finding a few more Flying types to complete what I call...The WONDERBOLT team!

Oh? The Milotic behind me? (She calls out, and Rainbow quickly pets the Pokémon before going on.) Used to belong to one of my best friends, and she finally evolved a while back! Didn't think she'd ever evolve, but she always said to make her scales look pretty...

(Anything else Rainbow was gonna say? Interrupted by two sudden events: a sudden BubbleBeam attack that left her pretty wet from her head to her neck, and most definitely her hair, and a Starly landing nearby. Rainbow's true boredom finally shows through at this point.)

...Hey! Pinkie Pie, this isn't the time for playing games! I'm letting Pinkie Pie figure out her strategy for the Gyms before we pack up, get Rarity and Spike and meet up with Twilight.

Corsola, corsola! Corsola~!

A wha-Starly? Wait a second! This could be my chance...! (She's not bored anymore. Rainbow's Milotic and Corsola vanish within seconds as both are recalled while she goes to toss another Pokeball, and a heartbeat later a Gligar -one of Rainbow's newer Pokemon, but this is his first battle- clamps down onto her head as the screen clicks off.)

... Wonderbolt team? Is that a sport? Asks Ruskin.

(Another trainer? In Rainbow's case, a Meganium is still holding her Pokègear while she blinks in confusion before answering with a big grin.)

Ha, no way! Back home the Wonderbolts are the best, the fastest flyers EVER and it's my dream to be part of their group.

[The seviper keeps talking, being translated by Snake,]

We want to start a circus group!

[Snake creeps into screen, starting to look interested himself.]

Uh...they're not a circus group. But good luck with that!

[The seviper starts sulking,]

But it would be a great act, says Ruskin.

[Snake slinks back off screen, going back to whatever he had been doing.]

Did the gym battle go swimmingly? Or was it a real dampener?

(By the time Rainbow actually responds back, her hair is a little damp but still pretty wet; she's holding a Pokèball in one hand while sighing irritably. Laugh it up, little dragon-bro - she caught the Starly.)

It went swimmingly, or didn't you see my awesome badges?

[Spike was still chuckling as he stood back up - he hadn't seen Rainbow get annoyed in ages. He gave her a big grin.]

Seriously, great work on getting another badge (not that I'm surprised), and your pokemon evolved too! That's awesome!

Has Pinkie thrown you a party yet?

[He examines the pokeball in her hand]

What did you catch?

Ha, thanks. Fluttershy started it, I just made sure to keep her scales pretty.

(She laughs, spinning the Pokeball for a while on her finger before stopping it.)

I don't think anything could stop Pinkie from throwing a party. I caught a Starly!

Did she evolve during one of your gym battles?

Because that would have been pretty cool to see! Did you video the battle?

[If Rainbow Dash can't tell, Spike's a little bored in Goldenrod.]

Rarity has been really busy with her mobile boutique.

When are you guys coming back? Maybe Pinkie can throw a welcome back party haha!

So, these Wonderbolts are a flying team, huh? So what do they do? Air tricks?

Ha, yeah. Been a while since I left Trickster on her own, but I'm sure she's thinking up pranks inside her 'Ball.

(Sure she brought 'em u first, but someone asked about the Wonderbolts! Notice Rainbow's expression brighten up.)

More than just air tricks! If they're needed to judge special events, or if somepony's in trouble they'll be there. They're the best of the best, and are totally loyal to the Princess.

[Well, well. Even if he doesn't know all that much about Equestria, he can at least see why she's so enthusiastic.]

So they're not just performers, but also part-time heroes? Huh, that's not too shabby. And I take it they're a pretty huge deal where you're from.

Hey, yeah! Guy really knows his stuff when it comes to Flying Pokemon, and he even knows the best of the best ones to catch! 'Course, you gotta evolve them first.

[Good for you, Rainbow! Now it's just the last two on this side and the Kanto ones... which she has a tiny head start on.]

Not all of them need to be evolved to be powerful. There's Skarmory, for instance.

(Think they'll get to use the super-fast train again? Rainbow slept during the ride, but it was totally awesome!)

Yeah, Tenten has a Skarmory on her team and it is pretty powerful...and there's my Aerodactyl, too!

[How do you sleep while going borderline sonic-rainboom speeds? You astound her sometimes, Rainbow.]

Ugh, don't talk to me about Aerodactyls right now. Do you know how unpleasant they are when they're trying to swarm you, commanded by a particularly powerful and ornery one that just happens to belong to one of the strongest trainers here?

Somehow I'm not surprised flying types ended up as your specialty. If you're going to make a Wonderbolt team, then you're definitely going to need a Spitfire. They'll definitely appreciate having their captain!

(Did Fluttershy mention the time in the Crystal Empire when Rainbow went flying and crashed into a glass ceiling? That was pretty hectic.)

Ha, I don't have a lot of 'em yet. Actually...you know how Twilight named her Dragonite after Spike? I've had one of my own for a while now and can't come up with a name for her. Think maybe that would be an awesome name for a Dragonite?

(Cadence can believe that. She also heard about the flyers competition...)

I think it would be. Dragonite are really fast flyers, so she could lead the others easily...maybe even that Starly, if you managed to catch it.

Dragonites can beat a Staraptor? Awesome~!
